The little garmin is a good buy for the price. The screen is a little small to be using while driving but with a passenger/navigator it helps a thousand times. And make sure you don't have it set to pedestrian mode while traveling on the highway!

I bought this unit for a trip to Myrtle Beach from DC last year with two other stops to visit relatives in rural areas of NC. It operated flawlessly and the text to speach functionality wasn't avaialble in any other unit at this price. I am very pleased with this GPS. My only complaint is that the volume doesn't go loud enough for me since I play my music too loud.

I just bought the garmin 465t and have only used it for a few days, im a professional driver pulling a tanker and i am looking forward to see how it routes for hazmat. so far its done well, the speaker for directions is a little small you have to go into the unit and turn it all the way up in order to hear spoken directions, and the alerts for scales is pretty poor, in texas it alerted me 20 miles after i passed the scale it was alerting me of the next scale a couple of miles before, but on the other side of the road, coming back it alerted me after i passed it.. so that is going to need some software updating, the rest of it so far so good

I needed this cable to connect the Garmin GPSmaps 60CSx to the adapter cord on my Nikon D200. It mated properly and it works. It is long, maybe 6 feet, and I had to role it up and stuff it into my pooket so I could walk around. The long cord did, however, make it so I could hand off the camera to someone else to take our photo and not have to give them the GPS.

Incredibly overpriced because they can do it. It's just a stupid cable but if you want to hook your GPS to a Nikon D3 you will have to pay the going rate and than another $80 for the Nikon adapter. It's cumbersome and too long for my needs but it fastens securely and does the job.

When I was looking at GPS' I was looking at the main brands like Magellan etc. Then my son told me about his Sony GPS. I ended up getting one because the Sony's were cheaper than the others. I thought it would be less than because it was cheaper. I was wrong. It being a Sony made it awesome. I've been using it every day. My husband who is very bad with technology has also used it and it is quite easy to use. He says he doesn't know how he lived without one. I use to Google Map all of his work locations and he would still get lost coming home sometimes. Now we save paper and he never gets lost even when he's coming home.

Navigation is just the beginning. nüvi 780 features travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, MP3 player, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. It also comes with Garmin Lock, an anti-theft feature, and configurable vehicle icons that let you select car-shaped graphics to show your location on the map.

This device is compatible with optional content plug-ins available via SD card, such as the  Garmin Travel Guides and Garmin SaversGuide provide detailed data for attractions and information on nearby merchants offering discounts, so you can customize nüvi for your travel needs.

Garmin has also added the ability for customers to add custom points of interest (POIs) from third parties such as school zones and safety cameras.

Like all nüvis, the 780 supports configurable vehicle icons. These fun, customized car-shaped icons come in a variety of colors to add a personal touch to your vehicle's position on the map.

With this GPS system on board you'll be prepared to steer clear of traffic with the integrated FM TMC traffic receiver. The nüvi is designed to receive alerts about traffic tie-ups and road construction that might lie ahead on your route. All you have to do is simply touch the screen to view traffic details and you'll be ready to detour around any problem area. And if you end up missing a turn, or you're forced into a detour that is not relayed through the traffic receiver, the nüvi's sophisticated automatic routing will get you back on track in no time.
